Held every two years, the ISB Congress is the Society’s premier event, a global meeting point for leading minds in biomechanics. 

Each congress is hosted in a different country, providing a unique platform for researchers and professionals to: 

• Share groundbreaking research  

• Explore emerging trends

• Exchange ideas across disciplines

• Build international networks and collaborations 
   

Past editions have taken place in diverse locations such as South Africa, Belgium, Brazil, Scotland, and Canada, with the 2025 Congress hosted in Stockholm by a coalition of institutions including the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences (GIH), the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), and the Karolinska Institute (KI). 

Now, in 2027, the Congress comes to Sydney, Australia, bringing the global biomechanics community together once again for a vibrant week of learning, networking and discovery.
