Grants
ISB offers support to help increase participation and capacity-building for biomechanics researchers and students from Economically Developing Countries (EDCs). ISB 2027 will offer the EDC grant opportunities listed below.

Grant categories
EDC Student Travel Grant
The EDC Student Travel Grant is offered by the ISB to enable students from economically developing countries (EDC) to attend ISB 2027 in Sydney, Australia. It will entail at least five travel grants, each with monetary support of up to AUD $2,500 to help cover the costs of attending ISB 2027.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the EDC Student Travel Grant, a candidate must be enrolled as a graduate student at an institution that is located in an EDC, have submitted an abstract for ISB 2027 via the abstract submission system, and complete the application by sending additional documents. From the submitted abstracts, a committee of ISB council members will select contributions to be awarded. If you aim to apply for the EDC Student Travel Grant, there will be a box in the abstract submission that you must tick to indicate that you have applied for the grant.

Applications will open on December 7th (UTC); the deadline is February 12th (UTC).

Post-congress requirement
Following the congress, the EDC Student Travel Grant winners are expected to write a report for the ISB newsletter about their experience attending ISB 2027.
Developing Countries Grant Competition (DCGC)
The Developing Countries Grant Competition (DCGC) is designed to award research projects from EDC biomechanics groups with the purpose to incentive innovative and collaborative activities to develop biomechanics in EDC regions. It will entail a certificate and five monetary awards of AUD $2,500 each for scientific purposes. The award winners are expected to give a presentation of their project at the ISB-congress of the same year.
Eligibility
Any biomechanics researcher from an EDC is eligible to apply. The principal applicant must be a current financial member of ISB, and applications can include non-EDC team members. The proposal must be developed in an EDC.
How to apply
Applications will open on 7 December (UTC); the deadline is 12 February (UTC).

To complete the submission, submit your proposal and the additional documents using this form according to the stated deadline.
From the submitted proposals, a committee of ISB council members will select five contributions to award.
Post-award requirement
After the congress, DCGC winners are expected to write a report for the ISB newsletter about their project and how the DCGC supported it and fostered biomechanics in their EDC. The award should be acknowledged in case of publication supported by the DCGC.
